Photo Swap Sunday!

It's Sunday and time for another Sweet Little Photo Swap over at Sara's adorable blog. :-)

It is 4th of July weekend ... and to me, one of the things that means is RODEO.
We have rodeos all over the place around here during the 4th -- but the biggest and best is the St. Paul Rodeo in the tiny little town of St. Paul, Oregon.
It's one of those town where if you blink when you drive through it, you'll miss it .... but that doesn't stop it from hosting one heck of an awesome rodeo every year.
It's been a lifelong tradition to spend at least one night around the 4th of July over in St. Paul, and it never disappoints.
Last night was THAT night this year -- and I took my camera along to see if I could get some cool photos of the action.
I didn't have a whole lot of luck (I really need to get back to doing my photography class homework! {groan}), but here are my five favorite photos of the night.  :-)

1. Who doesn't love a cowboy on a bucking horse?  {grin}
 2.  Better yet, how about three cowboys ..... the Dodge Pickup Guys, to be exact. {swoon}

3.  And my favorite pickup guy of all ..... Mitch Coleman.  He was born and raised about 5 minutes from our place -- his family owns a big farm here.  And he (along with his brother, Ross, who is a world famous bull rider) have become our town's claim to fame!  Mitch was even on a CMT reality show called "America's Top Cowboy" (or something along those lines) -- and WON! :-)  That's pretty darn cool, if you ask me.
And.  I want his horse.  Gorgeous.
4.  Love the bull riding!  Everybody's favorite. :-)  Nothing beats that excitement!
5. I was lucky to be at the rodeo with two of the cutest little gals I know, Bri and Ashley, who belong to our wonderful friends Matt and Angie (who you met back here).
6.  And OK, I know this is more than five ... but this next one doesn't count because I didn't even take it -- Scott did.  And I think he did a pretty darn good job.
One of my other favorite friends (and teaching partner), Sherry (I introduced you to her back here, too).  We're like peanut butter and jelly ... practically inseparable.  I'm so blessed to have great friends!
P.S.  Doesn't that guy behind me kinda look like Kenny Chesney? :-)
I hope you are all having a FABULOUS 4TH, filled with family, friends, and good times, too!  :-)

  6. Just found your blog and it is terrific! I really like your bookshelves made out of a pallet.I am a teacher and have rain gutter book shelves in my classroom but I think these would be great to use in my centers. You are so creative and have many ideas that I am sure I will be using. I'm like your hubby, I love fireworks. Have a great week.
