Hello Little Lucy Lu readers! I’ve been so excited about guest posting on here! I found Bec’s blog last year and just fell in love with her personality, her sweet family and everything she does. When my blog grows up, it wants to be like Little Lucy Lu.
I wanted to share with you my top 3 favorite crafts that I’ve done. All three are under $20! Click on the title for the full tutorial!
Project #1: Toilet Paper Wall Art
Yep, it’s made of toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls, cut into strips, glued together and spray painted. That’s it.
The best part was asking for people to keep their TP rolls for me. They gave me the funniest looks.
Total Cost: $0
Project #2: Jewelry Frame
I have an obsession with earrings. I like them a lot, but it’s ok because I’m not really a necklace person.
I decided enough was enough and THIS:
was absolutely ENOUGH.
So I bought a large oval frame on sale at Hobby Lobby, tore off the back and replaced it with burlap.
Total Cost: $14
Project #3: Homemade Gift for Hubby
I saw a cute version of subway art at a artsy store last summer and I knew I wanted to make it for my husband. I changed up the wording a little bit, but it’s essentially the same.
I used scrapbooking letters as reverse stencils, spray painted the whole thing and then pulled the letters off to show the white underneath.
Total cost: $17
There you have it! 3 projects under $20! I’d love for you to come and visit me at Life on Mars!
(How sweet would that last one be for a Valentine's gift for your LOVE on Tuesday!)
....You have the whole weekend to get it done! :-)
