I can't believe it ....
..... until I look in the mirror:
For all of you family and friends who kept telling me (a month ago) that I was already as big as I ever got with Lucy .... well, whatdya' think of me NOW!?
I'm trying very hard to embrace the bump .... but I shudder at the thought of what NINE months is going to look like.
And don't even get me started on anything beyond that.
I might have to barricade myself in my house by that point.
And don't count on anymore updates, either! :)~
This week's was the first picture I really wasn't too thrilled to post.
Check out a comparison of the last four months!
Max is up to about 3 3/4 lbs. and 17 inches long. He is (supposedly) gaining about a half-pound a week at this point ... and will gain roughly a third of his weight in the next seven weeks.
His bones are hardening and getting stronger and his skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth!
His movement has slowed down quite a bit, but I can still feel lots of shifting around in there. I think he just has less room to flip and kick as much now! (clearly!)
My doctor informed me at my last appointment that Max is head-down ... and that he thinks I will be having another small baby. (????? Then why does my bump look SO BIG????? I have no idea.)
I'm feeling really good!
I'm sleeping pretty well ... not too uncomfortable ... and really not experiencing anything worth complaining about. :-) (Gee, wonder how long before THAT will change!?:)~
I have been feeling lots of pressure way down south already, which kind of concerns me a bit! Lucy was WAY down low about a month before delivery, and I remember feeling like I needed to walk around with my legs crossed so that she wouldn't fall out!
Perhaps I'm headed in that direction again .... we shall see! :-)
Lucy is doing a great job of being patient! I can imagine this must feel like an ETERNITY if you're three! (Although, actually ... she's got a big birthday coming up VERY SOON, so she'll only be my three-year-old for another month!:)~
She is loving the Disney princess movies these days ... and dressing up like a princess, too.
...Or princessES, depending on the day .... last week one day, I walked upstairs to find EVERY dress from the dress-up chest ON her body. Yep! Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and a few random ballet leotards and tutus to top it off!
I have absolutely NO idea how she managed that -- but it was HIL - ARIOUS. I was so mad I didn't have my camera to capture THAT picture! :)~ I know you would have enjoyed it, too!
My favorite part of the day remains bedtime when she wraps herself around my tummy, kisses and hugs it, and tells Max "Sweet dreams, Max! I love you to the moon and back and then some more!"
And this past week, she's added an additional greeting ... "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!"
What the ....???
I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff!?
She cracks me up. I love her SO SO MUCH!!!
**On another note, I've had lots of people asking me when I'm going to show Max's nursery!
Believe me, I want to show you SO BADLY! But unfortunately, there is one last project in the room that is still "in progress" ... and it's the part that I had to enlist my carpenter-uncle's help with, so I sorta-kinda have no control over when it gets done! I'm at his mercy! :)~ I'm sure hoping it's done within the next week or so though, and then I'll get the pictures taken and the post up ASAP! ...And hopefully, it'll be worth the wait! :-)
